Who We Are

We understand choosing a hearing care provider is a big decision. At Southern Missouri Hearing Specialists, our number one priority is delivering exceptional patient care. Our staff is well-trained on a variety of services ranging from evaluations to treatment.

We believe great care includes establishing great relationships with our patients. Treating hearing loss is an ongoing process that requires regular follow-ups, maintenance and cleanings to keep you hearing your best. Our staff is here to support you not only during your initial visit but throughout your entire journey to better hearing.

Dr. Lynda Stovall, CCC-A, FAAA

Audiologist

Dr. Lynda Stovall, CCC-A, FAAA, joined our clinic in 2013 from Andover, Kansas. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders from Wichita State University in 2009. Dr. Stovall earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Wichita State University in 2013.

Missy Smith, BSGB, BC-HIS

Office Manager/Hearing Instrument Specialist

Missy Smith, BSGB, BC-HIS, joined our clinic in 2006. She was born and raised in the Ozarks. Missy is a graduate of Missouri State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in General Business in 2002. Missy is not only our Office Manager but also a Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Treasa L. Slawson, AAS, BC-HIS

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Southern Missouri Hearing Specialists welcomes Hearing Instrument Specialist Treasa Slawson. Treasa received an Associates of Applied Sciences specializing in Hearing Instrument Sciences at Ozark Technical Community College in May of 2014 in Springfield, MO. In 2015, Treasa received her National Board Certification for Hearing Instrument Specialists.

Dawn Braiser, CPB

Billing Specialist

Dawn joined our office when it was established in 2002. She is a native to West Plains but raised in Summersville. Dawn wears many hats in our office. Not only does she do billing coding and insurance, She also supports the front office along with scheduling surgeries.
